When you're selling a home, it's important to make sure that you have all the right pieces in place. That means making sure your home is staged correctly, that you have good quality photos and videos of the property, and that you have a well-crafted listing. Unfortunately, many sellers try to cut corners when it comes to hiring a photographer or videographer, and that can end up costing them in the long run. Here are three reasons why hiring a professional photographer and videographer is absolutely essential when selling your home.
1. Good photos and videos make your home look more appealing to buyers. If you're selling your home, chances are you want to get the most money possible for it. One of the best ways to do that is to make sure your home looks as appealing as possible to potential buyers. And one of the best ways to do that is to hire a professional photographer and videographer. Professional photographers and videographers know how to stage a home and how to take photos and videos that show off a property in its best light. This can go a long way in making your home more attractive to buyers and helping you get top dollar for it. 2. Poor-quality photos and videos can actually deter buyers from looking at your home. In today's digital age, more and more buyers are starting their home search online. That means that the photos and videos of your home that are listed on sites like Zillow and Realtor.com are going to be some of the first impressions potential buyers have of your property. If those photos and videos are poor quality, it can actually deter buyers from even looking at your home. On the other hand, if they're high-quality, it can pique a buyer's interest and get them to schedule a showing. 3. A professional photographer or videographer can help you capture unique selling points about your home. When you're selling your home, you want to make sure you highlight all of its best features. But it can be hard to do that if you don't have a good eye for photography or videography. A professional photographer or videographer, on the other hand, will be able to capture all of your home's unique selling points and showcase them in a way that will appeal to buyers. If you're selling your home, hiring a professional photographer and videographer is essential. Today, we had a chance to talk to Eric Coates from EVC Video Tours LLC. Here's a transcript of the interview, enjoy! Interview with Eric from EVC Video Tours LLC
Question: Can you tell us a little bit about your business and what you do?
EVC Video Tours is a videography and photography company based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We specialize in creating high-quality home videos and photos for our clients. Our goal is to help our clients sell their homes faster and for more money by making them look their absolute best. Question: What are some of the unique selling points that you offer when it comes to photographing and/or videotaping homes? When it comes to photographing and videotaping homes, we pride ourselves on three things: quality, creativity, and customer service. First and foremost, we always strive to produce the highest quality photos and videos possible. We use state-of-the-art equipment and take the time to edit our photos and videos so that they look their absolute best. Secondly, we're always looking for ways to be creative and showcase a home in its best light. We use a variety of techniques, including drone footage, to make sure that each home we photograph or videotape is shown in the best possible way. Lastly, we always put our customers first. We understand that selling a home can be a stressful process and we do everything we can to make it as easy and stress-free as possible for our clients. Question: Why do you think it's important for sellers to have high-quality photos and videos of their homes? There are a few reasons why we think it's important for sellers to have high-quality photos and videos of their homes. First, as we mentioned before, more and more buyers are starting their home search online. That means that the first impression potential buyers have of your home will be based on the photos and videos that are listed on sites like Zillow and Realtor.com. If those photos and videos are poor quality, it can deter buyers from even looking at your home. On the other hand, if they're high-quality, it can pique a buyer's interest and get them to schedule a showing. Secondly, poor-quality photos and videos can actually dissuade buyers from making an offer on your home. In today's day and age, buyers expect to see homes that are move-in ready and that look just like the photos they saw online. If your home doesn't meet those expectations, you're likely to lose out on a sale. Lastly, high-quality photos and videos can help you sell your home for more money. Studies have shown that homes with professionally done photos and videos tend to sell for more than homes with amateur photos and videos. That's because potential buyers are willing to pay more for a home that looks great in photos and videos. Question: Do you have any advice for sellers who are thinking about hiring a professional photographer or videographer? My biggest piece of advice would be to not skimp on quality. There are a lot of amateur photographers and videographers out there who will do a decent job for a very low price. However, in my opinion, it's worth it to invest in a high-quality photographer or videographer. The difference in quality can be quite striking and, as we mentioned before, it can actually help you sell your home for more money. Another piece of advice would be to make sure you're comfortable with the photographer or videographer you hire. Selling your home is a personal process and you want to make sure you're working with someone you trust. Be sure to meet with them beforehand and see examples of their work to ensure that you're happy with their style and approach. Question: What are your plans for the future? Do you have any new services or products that you'll be offering? We're always looking for ways to improve our services and offer new products. We recently started offering drone footage as an add-on to our photography and videography packages and it's been very popular with our clients. We're also working on developing a virtual reality tour of homes that potential buyers will be able to view online. We're really excited about this new product and we think it has the potential to revolutionize the home buying process.
