I met with David of New Fairfield Landscaping which is a newer landscaping business in New Fairfield, CT.  David started New Fairfield Landscaping out of New Fairfield with 10 years of experience with other local landscaping companies in the location Western Connecticut area.  New Fairfield Landscaping handles lawn mowing, spring & fall clean up, mulching, hedge trimming, and snowplowing.

​I’ve lived in New Fairfield my whole life, and have a ton of experience in the landscaping industry.  I wanted to take the next step, and open my own Landscaping business.  

Keeping all the deadlines.  When we get a rain storm that continues for the week it can difficult to find time to do all the accounts.  Balancing time with the family while trying to build a business can also be difficult.

I met with Bill of the Danbury Tree Service Pros.  He's got two tree work crews, and a lot of history in the tree service industry.  Bill has been working with his hands since the young age of 15, and personally supervises every tree removal that his tree service handles.  

Bill has been in the Tree Business for over 20 years, and has seen it change from a tight knit group of professionals to a much larger and less professional group.  After the storms of Irene and Sandy there have been tree services popping up on every corner in Danbury.  This influx of "Tree Removal Experts" has created a bad name for the tree care industry, and resulted in a common distrust of tree care professionals.

Bill knows that it won't be easy to improve the name behind tree services in Danbury, but he's devoted to changing people's minds one tree job at a time.

We've got nothing bad to say about L & T Tree Service, Bart's Tree Service or Torcasio.  Each one of those professionals are great at what they do.  Bart's handles some very tricky tree removals throughout Fairfield County as a whole.  The guys from Land and Tree are great guys, and they put 100% into every tree removal they do.  Torcasio Tree Service has been here almost as long as we have.  Tony, the owner of Torcasio is a great guy, and he runs a serious tree work crew.  

What it really comes down to when choosing the right tree service is price and availability.  Bart's Tree Service, L & T, Torcasio Tree Service, and our Tree Service will all do a great job.  Each one of us handles tricky tree removals, and other tree work.  We don't really know any of the other tree services in town as well as these guys.  

Do your research, look at each tree service's website, reviews, and make some calls.  Compare quotes, and availability.  We won't always be the lowest in town, but we'll make sure you get taken care of very quickly.  

I know who I'll be calling for my next tree removal.  Bill is a real stand up guy, and he's answered the previous question much difference than most people do.  It was great meeting Bill, and learning about his tree service.

I met with Adrienne Corrigan of ARC Fitness, LLC in New Fairfield.  Having drove past her sign at the intersection of Route 37 and Sawmill Road many times this was a great opportunity to get to know what ARC Fitness was all about.  Adrienne opened up ARC Fitness in 2015 after eight years of working locally as a trainer.

Adrienne started ARC Fitness, LLC because she has a passion for helping people.  She’s a big fan of fixing things, and in this case its people's lives.  Improving quality of life is a primary focus for Adrienne. Everything from being able to comfortably get on and off the floor, to being able to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and live an active lifestyle. Any limitations that prevent her clients from fully enjoying their lives becomes a primary goal.

​Adrienne evaluates current movement patterns, strengthens the muscles involved in each of those processes, and then works to refine the movements in a way that optimizes the results while placing less stress on the involved joints.

Most of ARC Fitness’s clients are 50-70 years old, and she designs a personal program for each one of them.  When working with her clients, Adrienne always incorporates their lifestyle and diet into their programs. It's important that the workouts have a real life benefit. As far as diet goes, she works with her client's current diet and refines it for a better nutritional impact. She educates her clients on the benefits of clean eating, and the impact poor nutrition plays on their goals. In the end, it's up to the clients to make the good choices, at least they are now armed with the knowledge behind the nutrition.

After three minutes of pondering this question, Adrienne said “Nothing!  It was like living a dream!  I now had the opportunity to create a studio to exactly fit my needs.”  ARC Fitness is a perfect personal training solution for anyone who does not feel comfortable in a public gym.  The studio is very private and clean & the equipment is excellent.  

My Personal Training Studio in New Fairfield was designed to accommodate clients with diverse physical needs and limitations. ​Adrienne has kept her rates reasonable, with a goal of being able to reach more people. Total body workouts that are safe and effective can be purchased for as little as $40/hour. These sessions combine both personal training and cross-training cardio.
